About

Good Cook full band group photo

Good Cook is a rock and roll band from the Washington, DC area, playing covers spanning the '60s to today alongside original music.

Born out of a shared love for raw, honest music, Good Cook brings together five core musicians and two collaborators who push each other to play louder, dig deeper, and leave it all on stage. From intimate venues to packed houses, the band delivers a sound that's equal parts grit and groove — anchored by powerful vocals, searing guitar work, a locked-in rhythm section, and the unmistakable punch of live saxophone.

Based in the DC area, Good Cook is building a reputation as one of the most exciting live acts in the region. If you haven't seen them yet, get on the list — you don't want to miss what's coming next.

Lead Vocals, Guitar, Drums

The engine behind Good Cook. Matt fronts the band with a voice that can shake the walls, then sits behind the kit or picks up a guitar without missing a beat. A true multi-instrumentalist who sets the energy for every show.

Mark's Les Paul does the talking. Whether it's a slow-burn blues solo or a full-throttle rock riff, his playing is the backbone of the Good Cook sound. He also keeps the band's business running behind the scenes.
